Does Cabinet Store, Inc. manufacture the cabinets and counter tops?
No. We order all of our products factory direct. Product lead times can take anywhere from one to six weeks once the order has been placed depending on the product type.
Does Cabinet Store, Inc. stock cabinets and counter tops for me to purchase right away?
We do not have a regular inventory. Because cabinetry and counter tops come in so many different styles, colors and sizes, it would be impossible for us to hold an inventory of product that could fit everybody’s particular taste and application. Also, cabinetry is made of wood, which ages, expands and contracts differently to each specific environment. Holding an inventory of cabinetry can also increase the chances of damage from constantly being rotated and moved. We do, on the other hand, have a small mixed inventory of cabinetry and counter tops that were ordered wrong, shipped wrong or was damaged that we sell for as much as 95% off the actual cost.
How much do Cabinet Store, Inc.’s cabinets cost per linear foot?
This is an impossible question to answer and we get this question a lot because it’s usually the method the big home centers use to advertise their kitchen cabinetry. The cost of cabinetry varies based on the product line, sizes, types, styles, wood species, stains, accessories and options. We offer free estimates, so my suggestion would be to set an appointment with a designer to measure your kitchen and you’ll get an accurate price quote.
I have a very tight budget, does Cabinet Store, Inc. have a cabinet line that’s affordable?
Yes. We carry 12 different cabinet lines from basic builder’s grade to full custom. Every line we carry is durable and comes with a limited product warranty through the manufacturer.
What’s the difference between Quartz and Granite?
Quartz is made up of 93% carbon and granite is made up of 38% carbon, so quartz is much more durable. Granite is also porous and quartz is not, so granite is more likely to stain and requires more maintenance. Quartz is a natural stone but the quartz surfaces are manmade and granite comes straight from the earth which is why the beauty of granite is usually unmatched.
What is a CKD, CBD and AKBD?
These are levels of certifications from the National Kitchen and Bath Association. CKD stands for Certified Kitchen Designer, CBD is Certified Bath Designer and AKBD is Associated Kitchen and Bath Designer. A person who holds one of these certifications has had many years of related experience and training and is an expert in the field.
I’m on a tight budget, should I consider refinishing my kitchen cabinets over replacing them?
Absolutely not! This doesn’t fix your aging cabinets, it only makes them look nicer. Refinishing kitchen cabinetry is very labor intense and time consuming and can be a huge cost. In most cases, you can replace your kitchen cabinets and counter tops with labor included for less than the overall cost to refinish just your cabinets.
I don’t live in New York State, can you still give me an estimate to replace my cabinets and counter top?
If you live outside New York State or live north of Sullivan, Ulster and Dutchess Counties, we can provide you with designs, cabinetry and other products such as faucets and sinks, but we cannot provide you with labor or solid surface counter tops. This is mainly because we are based in the lower Hudson Valley and employ only local contractors. Cabinet Store, Inc. also does not go into New York City or Long Island.
I bought my cabinets from another dealer, will Cabinet Store, Inc. provide me with installation services although I didn’t purchase my cabinetry from them?
No. This is mainly due to the fact that we do not want to be held responsible for someone else’s mistakes, if there are any. Part of our policy here is that we do not handle cabinet and counter top products from other dealers.
I received a cheaper estimate from another dealer, will Cabinet Store, Inc. come down on their price?
Of course! First we would like you to bring in a detailed estimate from the other dealer with a letter head so we can compare. We have to make sure that both estimates are “apples to apples” to get you a fair price. If everything checks out okay and both estimates are “apples to apples” then we’ll try to beat any competitor’s price.
